The Israel Walk About Love Festival
If you've ever considered hiking through Israel and taking in the beauty from a relaxed perspective, then the Israel Walk About Love Festival is the opportunity of a lifetime. Over the course of 100 days, participants can join in along the way for just part of the trip, or just enjoy coming events along the way.
The four-month-long Walk About Love event opens up over 620 miles of hiking paths throughout Israel, and participants enjoy all of Israel's diverse landscapes. The event is intended to spread peace, unity, and cultural understanding and will give you plenty of time to not only enjoy the thrill of sometimes challenging terrain, but time to get to know the local residents.
The first half of the Walk About Love Festival takes hikers from Migdalor Beach in Eilat, through the magnificent Judean Desert to Jerusalem. On the second half, hikers will traverse the Mediterranean coastline to the sea of Galilee and finally, on to Mount Hermon. The trek is briefly interrupted with a three week stay near the Dead Sea for festivities an time to interact with local residents. Both residents and travelers that have the happy opportunity to be in Israel in the spring will never regret joining in on the Israel Walk About Love Festival.
